Over the last few days, Wisconsinites in southeastern Wisconsin—particularly Racine, Kenosha, and Walworth counties—have suffered from devastating floods. Last night, Speaker Ryan toured the area with Burlington Mayor Jeannie Hefty and first responders to assess the damage firsthand.
First responders from counties all over Wisconsin, and even some from Illinois, have come to help people in Burlington. When our friends and neighbors face crises, it’s important to come together to support one another. As Speaker Ryan said:
“I just want to say how impressed I am with this community. I am so impressed with our first responders. I want to say ‘thank you’ to our first responders. I am just so thankful that there has not been a loss of life.”
