White House Promises “Fresh” New Jobs Proposals, Then Pushes More Failed ‘Stimulus’ Spending

SHOT: “The administration official emphasized that Obama’s proposals would be fresh ones, not a rehash of plans he has pitched for many weeks.” (The Associated Press, 8/17/11)

Does President Obama’s “fresh” proposal to push another round of failed, taxpayer-funded ‘stimulus’ sound familiar?  It should.  In addition to the trillion-dollar ‘stimulus’ signed into law in February 2009 – with the promise that it would keep unemployment below eight percent (current unemployment rate: 9.1 percent) – President Obama has been stuck on ‘stimulus’ for years.  Here’s a look:

Republicans have put forth a plan to help create jobs by lifting burdensome mandates and regulations and addressing the skyrocketing debt and deficits that are keeping America’s job creators on the sideline.  In an op-ed in yesterday’s USA Today, House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) and Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA) invited President Obama to work with Republicans on real solutions that will help put Americans back to work – rather than relying on the same ‘stimulus’ proposals that have failed to deliver on the promise of more jobs and economic growth.  Learn more about the Republican Plan for America’s Job Creators here: http://jobs.GOP.gov, and read the op-ed from Speaker Boehner and Leader Cantor here
