Brad Bailey, Annie Palisi, and Caleb Smith Join the Office of the Speaker
WASHINGTON, DC – House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) today announced that he has made the following staff appointments in the Office of the Speaker:
Brad Bailey will serve as Assistant to the Speaker for Policy, starting on September 3. Brad is currently Legislative Director for Rep. Pat Tiberi (R-OH). He is completing his law degree at Georgetown and is a proud alumnus of Miami University in Ohio's 8th Congressional District. A native of Westerville, Ohio, Brad will assume the economic policy portfolio for the Speaker, succeeding Policy Director David Stewart.
Annie Palisi will serve as Deputy Director of Member Services, starting on September 3. Annie is currently Chief of Staff to Rep. Diane Black (R-TN). She ran Rep. Black’s first campaign for Congress in 2010 and her successful primary campaign in 2012. Prior to her time with Rep. Black, Annie served on the Bush-Cheney campaign in 2004 and in Iraq with the International Republican Institute. A native of Arlington Heights, Illinois, Annie is a graduate of the University of Iowa.
Caleb Smith will serve as Digital Communications Director, starting on August 12. He is succeeding Don Seymour, who becomes Deputy Director of Communications. Caleb has been at Story Partners for the past year as Digital Director after previously working on Capitol Hill as director of new media for the House Committee on Financial Services. Caleb hails from Paducah, Kentucky and is a graduate of American University.
