WASHINGTON — House Republican Conference Vice Chair Lynn Jenkins (R-KS) will deliver the Weekly Republican Address on Saturday, March 12. In the address, Rep. Jenkins will mark Women’s History Month, and discuss Republicans’ focus on expanding opportunity for all.
“Women’s History Month is a time to reflect on what we have accomplished but also consider what we have left to achieve,” Rep. Jenkins said. “Opportunity for all must be more than mere words. We need action and we need it now. I am proud to be part of this Republican-led House which is working every day for those principles of equal opportunity so that together we can build a stronger, fairer, more perfect America.”
Now in her fourth term in the House, Rep. Jenkins serves as vice chair of the House Republican Conference, the fifth-highest ranking position in House Republican leadership. She is the 30th woman in history to hold a leadership position in either branch of Congress, and the 14th Republican woman to be in leadership. A certified public accountant by position, Rep. Jenkins currently serves on the House Committee on Ways and Means.
NOTE: The Weekly Republican Address will be available starting tomorrow, March 12, at 6:00 a.m. ET on Speaker.gov.
