House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) today welcomed the signing of the bipartisan JOBS Act, which first passed the House last month and is a key part of the Republican Plan for America’s Job Creators:
“The JOBS Act – a key part of the Republican jobs plan – is good news for entrepreneurs and aspiring small businesspeople struggling to overcome government barriers to job creation. I commend Majority Leader Eric Cantor and all the lawmakers whose tireless efforts made today a reality. With so many Americans still asking ‘where are the jobs?,’ Republicans will continue to find and act on areas of common ground that would make it easier for small businesses to grow and hire new workers. The House has passed dozens of jobs bills with bipartisan support, several of which would implement an ‘all-of-the-above’ energy strategy to address rising gas prices. Many of these proposals are backed by the president’s own jobs council. The House will continue to lead the way on jobs, and with help from President Obama and Senate Democrats, we can get these things done for the people we serve and the country we love.”
