House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) today praised the House for passing the Protecting Access to Health Care (PATH) Act (H.R. 5), legislation that repeals ObamaCare’s health care rationing board:

“Today’s vote scraps the president’s unelected health care rationing board which would hurt seniors by restricting their treatment options and denying access to care. The bill also keeps our pledge to curb junk lawsuits and defensive medicine that drive up health care costs.  It marks the 26th vote we’ve taken to fully repeal, defund, or dismantle portions of ObamaCare, which is increasing costs and making it harder for small businesses to hire new workers.

“While our efforts have been blocked by the Democratic-controlled Senate so far, the Supreme Court will begin hearing oral arguments next week on what Democrats consider the cornerstone of the president’s health care law: the individual mandate. The individual mandate at the heart of the president’s government takeover of health care is opposed by a majority of the American people. And we won’t let up until we’ve made good on our pledge and the entire law is repealed.”
