Statement on Meeting with Nordic and Baltic State Speakers | Speaker.gov

WASHINGTON—House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) issued the following statement after meeting with a delegation of speakers from Nordic and Baltic states:

“It was a pleasure to host my counterparts from these important Nordic and Baltic partners. After visiting with some of these speakers earlier in the year, it was good to confer with them again, especially after yesterday's vote in the House to reaffirm America's commitment to NATO and Article 5. Interparliamentary cooperation is a bedrock of our transatlantic alliances. Together, we are determined to work toward a more safe and secure future for this generation and the next.”
