Democrats concede that the looming defense cuts on January 1 would be devastating to our national security.  But what are President Obama and Senate Democrats doing to solve the problem?  Absolutely nothing, despite dire warnings from the Obama Administration’s Defense Secretary himself.

House Armed Services Committee Chairman Howard P. “Buck” McKeon (R-CA) released the web video “RESOLVE” this morning calling on President Obama and Senate Democrats to work with Republicans to do right by our troops and solve this issue.

House Republicans have offered multiple solutions to solve this problem, including passing a bill in April to replace these irresponsible defense cuts in 2013.  Unfortunately, President Obama and Senate Democrats have rejected those solutions and offered none of their own.  Stopping these cuts should not be a partisan issue.  America’s war fighters are asked to make many sacrifices in defense of liberty and freedom on a daily basis.  It’s time for President Obama and Senate Democrats to put forward their own plan to protect our troops, and protect our national security.
