A Big Tree from Big Sky Country

This year's Capitol Christmas Tree comes all the way from the Kootenai National Forest in Montana. Standing at 79-feet tall, with a 5-foot, handmade, copper star atop, the tree that once stood tall in Big Sky Country now lights the night on the West Front of the United States Capitol. Congress Strikes Down Another Bad Regulation

October 27, 2017

This week, Speaker Ryan signed another Congressional Review Act bill. This one repeals the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s (CFPB) anti-arbitration rule, which inhibits the ability of consumers to resolve disputes outside of the courtroom. The rule benefits wealthy trial lawyers at the expense of consumers and repealing it is the right call for regular people.
