Why does tax reform need to happen now? Because hardworking families are struggling under a tax code that is far too confusing & expensive. pic.twitter.com/MQShKaahIJ

Republicans are unified on a path forward on tax reform with three goals in mind: a code that is more simple, affordable, and competitive. But what does it actually mean to make the tax code more affordable, and, more importantly, what will this mean for you and your family?
More Money in Your Pocket
As new polling demonstrates, Americans believe their taxes are too high. We agree. That’s why we are going to cut tax rates for Americans at all income levels, and we will eliminate excessive, costly taxes like the Alternative Minimum Tax and the Death Tax. And we’ll do all of this without blowing up the deficit by eliminating loopholes and accounting for economic growth from broader reforms to the tax code. That means you get to keep more of your hard-earned paycheck.
A Stronger Economy
More money in your pocket means Americans will invest more money back into our economy. However, if we are really serious about growing our economy, we believe these tax cuts should be permanent. Hardworking families need the certainty of permanent rate cuts to be able to spend wisely and save for the future.
