#FastAndFurious: One Step Closer to the Truth | Speaker.gov

We’re one step closer to the truth about Fast and Furious, the botched gun-smuggling operation that resulted in the death of border agent Brian Terry.

A federal judge – one appointed by President Obama – has ordered the Department of Justice to turn over a list of Fast and Furious documents it has been withholding.

Here’s more from Darrell Issa, chairman of the House Oversight & Government Reform Committee:

“This Administration has been so intent on hiding the contents of these documents that it allowed Attorney General Holder to be held in contempt instead of just turning them over to Congress.  … The privilege log will bring us closer to finding out why the Justice Department hid behind false denials in the wake of reckless conduct that contributed to the violent deaths of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry and countless Mexican citizens.”

The White House owes Brian Terry’s family and the American people the truth.  Help spread the word by sharing this graphic on Facebook and Twitter

Of course, Fast and Furious is but one example of this administration’s pattern of hiding the truth and stonewalling the American people.  Even The New York Times editorial board says it’s “perfectly true” that “the administration has done much of its business in the dark, away from the public eye.”

As Speaker Boehner has pledged, “we will not stop until we get the full truth on behalf of the people we serve,” so be sure to follow him on Facebook to stay up to date on this, the IRS, Benghazi, and all our efforts to hold the White House accountable.
