Need more proof that tax reform is working? Look no further than the past 24 hours.
In just the past day, more U.S. companies have announced new benefits for their employees thanks to tax reform:
Starbucks: This morning, Starbucks announced that it will dole out nearly $250 million in benefits to its workers, including pay raises for all 150,000 hourly and salaried employees.
Disney: Disney announced that it will issue a $1,000 bonus to more than 125,000 employees, and make a $50 million investment to a new program to help employees afford higher education.
Verizon: Verizon announced it will spend $380 million to award all non-senior executive full-time employees with 50 shares, and part-time employees with 25 shares.
JP Morgan Chase: JP Morgan Chase announced that it will increase hourly wages for 22,000 workers, award employees with a $750 bonus, and open 400 new branches over the next five years.
Economic confidence is on the rise in the wake of tax reform, and hardworking Americans are already reaping the benefits. And next month, when new IRS withholding tables take effect, 90 percent of Americans will see their paychecks rise. The reality is tax reform is already working for middle-income families across the country, and the best is yet to come.
