Ohioans Lose Another Obamacare Insurer | Speaker.gov

Today, President Trump visits Ohio, where he will meet with Americans who have been hurt by Obamacare.

News broke just yesterday that Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, one of the largest health insurance providers in Ohio, is exiting the state’s Obamacare exchange. This is expected leave Ohioans in up to 18 counties with zero coverage options in 2018.

Yes, you read that correctly. No coverage to purchase at all.

Anthem’s withdrawal follows a growing list of insurance companies that have determined participation in Obamacare is no longer viable.

As Ohio’s Department of Insurance stated, “For the past few years, we have seen a weakening in the federal insurance marketplace as a number of companies have withdrawn from the exchange.”

Indeed, this law is collapsing, and it has been for some time, with premiums skyrocketing and choices dwindling.

In other words, Obamacare is in crisis. The American Health Care Act is the answer. It keeps our promise to repeal this broken law and replace it with truly affordable, patient-centered care.

This is a rescue mission to provide relief to Americans struggling under the law. It's time for us to keep our promise and get this done on behalf of the people who sent us here.
