Pelosi Names Henry Connelly as Communications Director
Washington, D.C. – Speaker Nancy Pelosi made the following staff announcement regarding her communications operations led by longtime spokesman and Deputy Chief of Staff, Drew Hammill.
Speaker Nancy Pelosi has promoted Henry Connelly to Communications Director. Connelly, currently Deputy Communications Director, joined Pelosi’s communications shop in 2013 as a speechwriter. Promoted over the years, Connelly has been the Speaker’s lead spokesman on health care, tax and trade, among other key legislative priorities.
“For the past seven years, Henry has been an indispensable strategic asset for my office and for the House Democratic Caucus,” Speaker Pelosi said. “During this pivotal, transformational moment, as we prepare for a Democratic White House and Congress, Henry will be a tremendous force for progress in his new role as Communications Director, as he helps shape and deliver Democrats’ message of progress For The People.”
Connelly previously worked for former Congresswoman Janice Hahn of California and is a graduate of Yale University.
