Pelosi Announces Budget Committee and Rules Committee Chairs

Washington, D.C. – Speaker-designate Nancy Pelosi released this statement after Congressman John Yarmuth of Kentucky and Congressman Jim McGovern of Massachusetts were elected by the Democratic Caucus to serve as Chairmen of the House Committees on Budget and Rules, respectively, for the 116th Congress. The Democratic Caucus also approved Nita Lowey as Chair of the Appropriations Committee, Frank Pallone as Chair of the Energy & Commerce Committee, Maxine Waters as Chair of the Financial Services Committee, and Richard Neal as Chair of the Ways & Means Committee.
