Pelosi Honored By Science-Engineering-Technology Working Group for Her Commitment to Innovation

Washington, D.C. - Speaker Nancy Pelosi released the following statement today after receiving the George E. Brown, Jr. Memorial Award by the Science-Engineering-Technology Working Group (SET).

'It is a tremendous honor for me to receive the George E. Brown, Jr. Memorial Award, and I thank the Science-Engineering-Technology Working Group for their recognition and for their efforts to promote innovation and competitiveness.

'I also want to thank all of the scientists, engineers, researchers, educators, and technology executives who are here today supporting the Innovation Agenda.  With bipartisan support in Congress, the remarkable outside mobilization of groups such as yours, and the support of the President, the 110th Congress will invest in the future by enacting the Innovation Agenda that will make America stronger.

'We will assert our global economic leadership, create new business ventures and jobs, and give future generations their own opportunity to achieve the American Dream.
