Today is Manufacturing Day in America—a day to celebrate the work and the people who are responsible for driving innovation and job creation all across the country. But a single day is simply not enough to appreciate the stories of success and of struggle for American manufacturers large and small. That is why Speaker Ryan has been traveling the country, meeting directly with shop floor workers and small business owners, to learn more about the challenges they face in an increasingly competitive global environment.

Yesterday, his travels took him to Maryland, where he spent a couple hours with the fine folks of Dixon Valve and Coupling, a family-owned manufacturing business that is now in its 101st year of operation.
