Since announcing an impeachment inquiry into President Biden, House Republicans have outlined credible allegations and corroborating evidence of the President’s involvement in his family’s culture of corruption.
But led by the Biden White House, Democrats and their allies in the media are absurdly stating that “no evidence” exists.
- AP: “Since gaining the House majority, House Republicans have aggressively investigated Biden and his son, claiming without evidence that they engaged in an influence peddling scheme.”
- White House Counsel: “House Republican leaders should be held accountable for the fact that they are lurching toward impeachment over allegations that are not only unfounded but, in virtually all cases, have been actively disproven.”
- House Democrat: “There is not a shred of evidence that President Joe Biden has engaged in wrongdoing.”
Except there’s plenty of evidence – as even CNN’s fact checkers were forced by Speaker McCarthy to admit.
Four facts have not changed and will not change:
- President Biden lied when he repeatedly claimed he “never discussed” any business with his son, Hunter Biden.
- President Biden was a critical player in selling ‘the brand’ to Hunter’s foreign business partners and interacted with his son’s business associates 20 times, as Devon Archer, Hunter’s business partner, testified.
- The Biden family made millions of dollars as a result of Hunter Biden’s foreign business dealings. Bank records show that over $20 million in payments were directed to Biden family members and associates through numerous shell companies.
- The Biden family was afforded special treatment by the Biden administration – treatment they would not otherwise have received if they were not related to the President.
As Jonathan Turley writes, “The suggestion that this evidence does not meet the standard for an inquiry into impeachable offenses is an example of willful blindness.”
Willful blindness is exactly what the Biden White House said it wanted when it issued its media marching orders yesterday, but even reporters cannot deny the facts.
Federal prosecutors and the corporate media are suspiciously incurious about the truth, but House Republicans are committed to following the evidence wherever it leads – nothing less.
