WASHINGTON, DC – House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) released the following statement today applauding House passage of the Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act for Fiscal Year 2015 (H.R. 4745):
“Modernizing our nation’s infrastructure is a critical part of strengthening our economy and growing good-paying jobs. This bill also supports the Federal Aviation Administration, which keeps Americans safe, and will help provide housing for vulnerable individuals, families and veterans. It rejects any new fees proposed by the president and fulfills our duty as representatives of the people to spend taxpayer dollars wisely. And unlike how things are run in the Democratic-controlled Senate, this bill was passed with an open amendment process – something also unheard of in the 111th Congress under Speaker Pelosi.”
