In Egypt, Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s bipartisan congressional delegation (CODEL) met with Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi to discuss security challenges, initiatives to create prosperity for both nations, and the importance of greater regional cooperation.
“Today, I met with President al-Sisi in Cairo alongside a bipartisan delegation of Members of Congress. We had productive discussions about how our two nations can continue to work together to ensure peace and stability in the region,” said Speaker Kevin McCarthy.

While in Egypt, the Members met with a group of U.S. Marines stationed in Egypt and spoke with the Marines about their mission in supporting the U.S. Embassy in Cairo.
