Washington, D.C. – Today, Speaker McCarthy is unveiling never-before-seen footage of Israel President Isaac Herzog’s historic address to a Joint Meeting of Congress that brings viewers shoulder-to-shoulder with Members of Congress.

The virtual reality 360°video – the third of the 118th Congress for a Joint Meeting – not only celebrates America’s enduring special relationship with Israel, it is also part of Speaker McCarthy’s commitment to make the People’s House more open, accessible, and accountable than ever before.

As some of his first acts as Speaker, McCarthy fully reopened the U.S. Capitol to visitors, ended proxy voting, and required that legislation be made public at least 72 hours before Members vote on it. In recent weeks, he has hosted pop-up photo lines where more than 700 Capitol visitors took photos and shook hands with “the People’s Speaker” in Statuary Hall.

More open. More accountable. More responsive. That is how Speaker McCarthy and House Republicans are keeping our Commitment to America, changing Congress, and putting the country on a stronger path.
