House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) and members of the House and Senate took part today in an enrollment ceremony to mark the passage of S. 524, the Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery Act, bipartisan legislation to combat the opioid epidemic in our country.

Today, the Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery Act comes before the House of Representatives. 



"Today, the House continues to work on legislation to address the heroin and opioid crisis in our country. All told, we are acting on 18 bills. We can win this fight. And we must.”

This morning at his weekly press briefing, House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) announced that Rep. Evan Jenkins (R-WV) will deliver the Weekly Republican Address on Saturday, April 23.
