Whether you were one of the thousands who tuned in to our live stream last night or missed it altogether, you can watch Senator Rubio now, here.

CLAIM: President Obama says his administration is getting rid of regulations that don’t work.

  • “[O]ur businesses have created over six million new jobs. … Our first priority is making America a magnet for new jobs and manufacturing.” (President Obama, State of the Union Address, February 12, 2013)

FACT: President Obama’s excessive, burdensome regulations are making it harder for small businesses to create jobs.

CLAIM: Everyone agrees we need to replace the Obama sequester, but what “some in this Congress” proposed is bad.

CLAIM: Highly-skilled foreign-born workers should be allowed to stay in the U.S. rather than be expelled from the country.

CLAIM: President Obama claims energy production is at an all time high on his watch, and says he will support more American energy production.

CLAIM: We need to act quickly to avoid the sequester the president proposed and insisted on.

CLAIM: We need to raise taxes (again) to address our deficit and debt.

CLAIM: The president is ready to work with Congress on a serious budget.

  • “Let’s set party interests aside, and work to pass a budget that replaces reckless cuts with smart savings and wise investments in our future....”  (President Obama, State of the Union Address, February 12, 2013)

FACT: Senate Democrats haven’t passed a budget in nearly four years. The president’s is late again (for the fourth time). Neither have a plan to replace the Obama sequester.

CLAIM: We already cut spending. We’re half way to our deficit reduction goal!

CLAIM: President Obama says ObamaCare is helping to slow the growth of health care costs.

  • “[P]atients … enjoy stronger protections than ever before. … Already, the Affordable Care Act is helping to slow the growth of health care costs.”  (President Obama, State of the Union Address, February 12, 2013)

FACT: ObamaCare is driving up costs, jeopardizing coverage and making it harder for small businesses to hire.
