WASHINGTON, DC – At a press conference with Republican leaders today, House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) highlighted this week’s House vote on the Working Families Flexibility Act, and upcoming House action on legislation to foster stronger economic growth and job creation.  Following are Speaker Boehner’s remarks:

“Republicans are focused on jobs and building a stronger economy for all Americans.

“This week, we’ll pass Martha Roby’s bill to help working moms and dads better balance their lives between work and their responsibilities as parents.  And in the weeks ahead, we’ll clear the roadblocks for the Keystone pipeline, address ObamaCare, and a lot more.

“Listen, after four years of mediocre job growth, it’s obvious that we don’t need more tax hikes and more government spending.  We need smarter policies to make America more competitive and expand opportunities for everyone in our country.

“Listen, House Republicans are taking action – we’re the ones pushing this town to do the right thing for the American people when it comes to the economy and jobs.”
