Washington, D.C. – House Majority Kevin McCarthy (CA-23) released the following statement on the conference report for Military Construction and Veterans Affairs and Zika Response Appropriations Act:

“America faces dual crises: an incompetent Veterans Administration and the spread of the Zika crisis. This funding bill will curb the spread of Zika and protect Americans from this dangerous virus. This legislation will also hold the VA accountable and institute reforms that House Republicans have long called for so our veterans can finally get the quality care they have been waiting for. Chairman Hal Rogers (KY-05) and the entire House Appropriations Committee have ensured our veterans are provided for and that the American people are kept healthy and safe.”
