WASHINGTON — Today, Speaker Mike Johnson released a fact sheet on the Reforming Intelligence and Securing America Act, which would stop the FBI’s abuses of FISA Section 702 inquiries and prevent another phony Russia Hoax investigation by the FBI.
The Reforming Intelligence and Securing America Act would make 56 sweeping changes, which would be the largest intelligence reform package since FISA’s inception in 1978. It would reform the FBI’s process of examining Americans’ 702 data, add new criminal and civil penalties for non-compliance, ensure heightened scrutiny for warrant applications, holding intelligence agencies to higher standards, and enhance Congressional oversight over the FBI.
