WASHINGTON — Speaker Johnson issued the following statement today after the FBI announced the arrest of a suspect in connection with the placement of pipe bombs at the Democratic National Committee and Republican National Committee headquarters on January 5, 2021:
“Today, all of Congress commends the hard work of investigators and law enforcement officials at the FBI and USCP who helped bring a suspect into custody after a search of nearly five years. We are confident that today’s arrest will mark the start of a process that will yield transparency, accountability, and justice.”
