House Approves FY26 Department of Defense Appropriations Act
WASHINGTON — Speaker Johnson released the following statement after the House approved H.R. 4016, the FY26 Department of Defense Appropriations Act.
“The House’s passage of the FY26 defense appropriations bill helps display America’s strength at home and abroad.
“With the Trump Administration’s record-high recruitment levels, this bill provides the resources to ensure our military forces remain the most capable and lethal in the world.
“This legislation delivers a well-earned pay raise for our troops, secures the border, and equips our warfighters with the cutting-edge tools needed to confront threats from our adversaries across the world.
“It supports our servicemembers and their families with investments in health care, training, and military family services while it firmly blocks taxpayer dollars from being used to fund radical social agendas like DEI initiatives, abortion travel, and gender-transition procedures.
“This bill reflects President Trump’s Peace through Strength agenda, and it puts America’s strength, security, and values first.”
