WASHINGTON — This morning, Speaker Johnson joined America’s Newsroom with Dana Perino and Bill Hemmer on Fox News to discuss the what’s at stake this November.
“We’re in a season of extreme service,” Speaker Johnson said. “And it’s all worth it. We are going to leave it all on the field.”

| Watch the full interview here. On the stakes of this November: This is a midterm unlike any other. People have this idea that midterms are not that important. It’s not a presidential year. I don’t really need to vote. We already kind of know the outcome. You cannot take any of this for granted. Every single vote will count. I mean, in 2024, we had 10 House seats decided by 6,000 votes or less. And, I’ll tell you, the nightmare scenario is one that we’re warning people on the trail, because if this group of insurgent left Democrats, they are Marxists in their ideology, they’re telling you what they’re for: abolish the borders, abolish prisons, defund police, defund the Department of War. But they also want to do law fare on steroids. On the House Republican approach: We are on offense and we have swing districts in unusual places around the country. I spent a lot of time in the states of New York and California and places like Maine and New Hampshire and North Carolina, but in the deep red states, we’ve got to make sure that we defend the seats. Some of these districts have been redrawn, as you know, over the last cycle. And so, you have new territory. We have even incumbents who are moved into areas that have brand new voters. So, we’ve got to do all the fundamentals and do it right. It requires us to be everywhere. ### |
