President Trump’s comeback was much more than a rejection of Washington’s failed leadership. It was a mandate to take our country in a new direction — a call to write the next chapter of American history by and for the people.

 In his first 100 days, President Trump has already begun to do what Washington said couldn’t be done. He’s made overdue reforms to an entrenched and bloated federal bureaucracy that has catered to special interests, fueled illegal immigration, and favored woke ideology over commonsense, all while forcing American taxpayers to foot the ever-growing bill. President Trump is doing exactly what he promised.

 Now it’s time for Congress to finish the job. House Republicans are cementing President Trump’s bold vision with One Big Beautiful Bill. This legislation will make the largest investment in border security in a generation, provide historic tax relief for American workers, will rein in Washington’s waste, unleash energy dominance, strengthen our military, and put America back on a path to peace, strength, and prosperity.

 The American people demand and deserve bold change. This is our moment and our opportunity to codify into law a movement that began a decade ago. We will deliver.

The Biden Administration deliberately opened the border, and the results were catastrophic.

 Every state became a border state as millions of illegal aliens poured across our border. Hundreds from the terrorist watch list were encountered at our southern border, and an untold number of known gotaways escaped into our country. By 2024, there were over 660,000 noncitizens with criminal histories in our country. Local communities – many of which lacked the resources, social services, and manpower to take on thousands of illegal aliens – were stretched to their breaking points. 

 Despite possessing the executive authority to end the crisis, President Biden refused to secure the border and remove these dangerous aliens.

In a matter of weeks, President Trump did what Joe Biden refused to do: he restored commonsense immigration policies and empowered law enforcement to do their job. By March, illegal crossings at the Southwest border hit historic lows, plunging by nearly 95% from their 2024 levels.

 Thanks to President Trump’s policies, America has closed its doors to the worst criminal illegal immigrants, and our communities are safer than at any point in the last four years. But the success at our borders will be short-lived if we don’t provide the necessary resources to fund President Trump’s agenda and fully empower CBP, ICE, and our other immigration authorities to enforce the law and defend America’s sovereignty and safety. 

 Our frontline law enforcement agents and officers know what’s needed after four long years of chaos: an effective border wall and other deterrents; technology to close capability gaps and enhance interdictions; additional personnel, equipment, and vehicles; and more detention space to keep criminals off our streets.

 Congress is taking action to ensure President Trump has every tool available to prevent another deadly crisis at our border. This legislation delivers the resources law enforcement needs to protect our communities, defend our sovereignty, and keep the American people safe.

Washington Democrats created the worst inflation in forty years, thanks to trillions in reckless spending that crushed family budgets and sent everyday costs through the roof. 

 Under the Biden Administration, gas and groceries nearly doubled, credit card debt surged, and the average family was forced to pay over $11,000 more each year just to afford the same standard of living. By every metric, Bidenomics failed, and the American people paid the price.

 President Trump has already begun to reverse the damage of the last four years by getting government out of the way of American industry and innovation. By keeping taxes low for working families, incentivizing job creators, and rolling back regulations, we will revive our economy. But unless Congress acts, the largest tax hike in American history will take effect in only a matter of months, jeopardizing the prosperity of millions of Americans. 

 Republicans in Congress won’t let that happen. We’re backing President Trump’s economic revival by making his 2017 tax cuts permanent, eliminating taxes on tips and overtime, providing tax relief for seniors, and slashing regulations that are holding back our economy. 

 This legislation is our best chance to deliver historic relief to American families, resulting in take home pay for American families to increase up to $13,300 a year.

The federal government has become too large, does too much, and very little of what it does, it does well. In just five years, government spending has risen by 53% while our debt has ballooned to $37 trillion. For the first time in American history, interest payments on our debt have surpassed annual defense spending.

 At the same time, public trust in the federal government is near an all-time low, and many government agencies have benefited from this explosion in government while failing to adequately address the needs of the very people they purport to serve.

 President Trump was elected with a clear and overwhelming mandate to make government work for the people again. Republicans in Congress are moving in lockstep with his administration to eliminate waste, fraud, and abuse within the federal government, and to ensure taxpayer dollars are spent wisely and efficiently. Congress has a moral and constitutional duty to protect and preserve vital government programs for the Americans who truly rely on them.

 Our constitutional republic is the envy of the world, and it’s high time we had a federal government to match. 

President Biden and Democrats in Washington waged war against American energy for four years straight. From canceling the Keystone XL Pipeline to imposing costly and burdensome regulations on domestic producers, their policies undermined American energy independence and threatened our national security and prosperity, all in service of a Green New Deal agenda that favored ideology over affordability and reliability.

 Democrats’ war on affordable, reliable American energy was devastating to producers, consumers, and our allies around the world who rely upon America for clean and affordable energy. Instead of embracing America’s abundant natural resources, Democrats caved to environmentalists and climate alarmists whose policies kneecapped American producers and raised prices on everything.

 President Trump and Republicans in Congress are paving the way for a return to American energy dominance. Our legislation builds on the President’s bold steps to tear down the regulatory barriers that have held back American energy producers and it gives American producers and job creators the confidence to build, grow, and innovate. 

President Biden left America weaker, our adversaries emboldened, and the world more unstable than at any time in decades. On his watch, defense spending dropped to its lowest level as a share of GDP since World War II, failing to even keep pace with inflation. The Biden Administration allowed our national defense to deteriorate, and our adversaries in China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea took note. 

 President Trump’s return to the White House marked a turning point. The era of appeasement is over. Peace through strength is back. 

 Congress is working in concert with President Trump to restore deterrence, rebuild American military dominance, and ensure our fighting force remains the most lethal and capable the world has ever seen. Our One Big Beautiful Bill will deliver on President Trump’s promise to modernize our military, revitalize our defense industrial base, support our servicemembers, and construct the ‘Golden Dome’ to defend every American from a dangerous world.
