WASHINGTON — This evening, Speaker Johnson swore in Congressman-elect Vince Fong (CA-20) to serve in the 118th Congress.

“House Republicans are grateful to the voters of California’s 20th district for sending Vince Fong to the 118th Congress,” said Speaker Johnson. “Rep. Fong’s conservative record in the California State Assembly and his wealth of previous experience as a Congressional staffer will be an asset to our Conference, and we are eager to begin working with him.”

Rep. Fong previously served as representative in the California State Assembly and as an aide in the U.S. House of Representatives. He was sworn in on the House Floor during the evening vote series. Rep. Fong was joined by his wife, his siblings, nieces, and nephews, as well as by his parents, and in-laws. Rep. Fong will bring the House Republican Majority to 218 votes.
